Valentine's Treats
I aimed to accomplish two things when making these tasty treats: 1) Make "valentines" for Steve to bring to work (since I'm not working, I can't spoil my own co-workers) and 2) emulate pink frosting cookies (you know, the ones in the grocery store that barely last on the counter for more than 30 minutes). My own personal opinion, I think I did pretty well. I just used my perfect sugar cookie recipe and cut out cute heart shapes. Then tinted Pillsbury Creamy Vanilla flavored frosting on top and voila! The trick to making the frosting a little "crusted" or "stiff" is to let them air dry for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. The moisture from the Creamy style frosting will keep the cookie and frosting beneath the surface still super soft.
